In the Generation III and IV games, the Trainer Card level is additionally indicated by a number of stars on the card itself. Upon increasing the level of a Trainer Card, it will immediately change color the player does not need to check their Trainer Card for the change to take effect. The required events, such as entering the Hall of Fame or completing the Pokédex, can be completed in any order and vary by game. The Trainer Card level is a property of a Trainer Card indicating how many major in-game tasks the player has completed that was introduced in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and appear in all Generation III, IV, V, and VI games, as well as Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
